The copyright application is an application for granting patent or issuance of certificate. If the applicant is a citizen of the Republic of Armenia, the application must be in Armenian. And foreign nationals may apply in other languages. However, after submitting the application, you must provide a translation of the documents in Armenian within a three-month period.
The application is submitted to the State Authorized Body directly or sent by mail, as well as by e-mail.
If the documents are not well-readable, the applicant will be notified about it and will have to submit the written copy of the documents.
If the copyright application is not implemented in due time, it will not be processed and will be considered to be withdrawn. The applicant will also be notified.
As for the state fee paid for the application, this should also be done in the order established by Law․ If the payment is not paid fully, the applicant is required to complete the payment, otherwise the application will be be deemed to be withdrawn and the applicant will be notified about it.
Date of filing of application
If the documents submitted for the application are complete, the application date is considered to be the filing date. And if there are missing certain documents, the application date is considered to be the date of receiption of the missing documents.
How is the application being debated?
The application shall be examined within a three-month period after the submission of the application. During that period the application is checked on its compliance with the requirements established by Law.
